What is Trutaste Hydrogaurd?
Hydroguard is CamelBak's proprietary antimicrobial technology built directly into the walls of Podium, Podium Chill and Podium Ice bottles, as well as CamelBak bladders, drink tubes and Quick Stow. Hydroguard is an EPA-registered compound with antimicrobial properties that inhibits the growth of bacteria that can cause odors, discoloration, or deterioration of the bottle. However, Hydroguard does not protect against disease-causing organisms and it is still necessary to clean the products after each use.

What is BPA, BPS, BPF?
BPA or bisphenol-A is an industrial chemical used in the production of plastic resins, epoxy resins and other products. Recent studies have shown that increased exposure to this substance increases human health risks, linking it to diabetes, birth defects, uterine fibroids, breast cancer, reduced sperm count and prostate cancer. Exposure to this substance is most dangerous for infants and children.
The chemicals BPS bisphenol-S and BPF bisphenol-F are structurally similar to BPA and are found in some types of plastics, cans and other products. In the US, studies have shown that exposure to these chemicals increases the risk of obesity in children.
All bottles and bladders are 100% BPA, BPS and BPF free. CamelBak products undergo rigorous testing by independent manufacturers to ensure that no harmful chemicals leach into your food or drink. Extraction tests were also performed by independent researchers to ensure that the bottles meet the strict food safety standards set by the FDA, the European Community, the Japanese Ministry of Health and Welfare, and California Prop 65. WEAR Wear
and tear is damage that occurs naturally and inevitably as a result of normal use. Moving parts will wear out and fabrics will deteriorate and fade over time. While CamelBak selects the best materials available for use, all materials deteriorate over time with use and exposure (sun, rain, wind…).
